Pest Control in Round Rock, TX

Round Rock is about eight miles from our Hutto office — close enough that we treat it as home turf. From Old Town’s established streets to the newest sections of Teravista, the pest pressure varies more across this city than most.

Serving Round Rock — ZIP 78664, 78665, 78681

We serve all of Round Rock from our base in Hutto, roughly eight miles east. Round Rock’s housing stock ranges from 1970s and 80s homes in and around Old Town to subdivisions still being built today, and the age of your house changes the treatment — older properties need exclusion work that new builds don’t, and vice versa.

Older neighbourhoods, mature trees, different pests

The established parts of Round Rock — Old Town, Chandler Creek, the older stretches of Forest Creek — have something newer suburbs don’t: forty or fifty years of tree canopy.

Mature trees change which pests you get. Roof rats travel along branches and utility lines and enter at the roofline rather than the foundation, which is why attic activity is far more common in these neighbourhoods than in new construction. Smokybrown cockroaches live in tree hollows and leaf litter and fly toward porch lights. Paper wasps favour the deep eaves and covered porches typical of older Texas builds.

Older homes also have more gaps — settled foundations, aged weatherstripping, original vents — so exclusion work tends to matter more here than raw product volume.

The Brushy Creek corridor

Brushy Creek runs the width of Round Rock and the greenbelt and trail system follows it. Properties along that corridor, and around Paloma Lake, see the same pattern we see in creekside Hutto: heavier mosquito pressure through the season, more spiders, and more occasional invaders moving in from green space.

It’s a genuinely nice place to live and a permanently productive mosquito habitat at the same time. Consistent seasonal treatment is the realistic answer, not a single spray.

Newer master-planned sections

Teravista, Behrens Ranch and the newer phases elsewhere have the opposite profile: less canopy, fewer roof rats, but heavier fire ant pressure in young lawns and the ant and cricket entry that comes with settling new construction. Because Teravista has been building since the early 2000s, a single neighbourhood can contain both patterns depending on the section.

What we treat in Round Rock

Frequently asked questions

No. Round Rock is roughly eight miles from our Hutto office and is part of our core service area — there is no travel surcharge.

In the older tree-lined parts of Round Rock it is most often roof rats, which climb branches and utility lines and enter at the roofline. That needs exclusion work — sealing entry points — not just traps.

Creek corridors hold moisture and provide permanent breeding habitat, and mosquitoes rarely travel far from where they hatched. Properties backing onto the greenbelt generally need consistent seasonal barrier treatment.
